In 2001 Saint Clair celebrated its 150th anniversary.  After all the events that filled that year many of the community decided to organize a group to keep bringing events to our community and to share our rich history with residents and visitors.   The year following the sesquicentennial  SC151  (Saint Clair 151th year) came about.  With this they had two main branches, the community group and the historical society.  In 2006, it was decided to rename the group to Saint Clair Community and Historical Society  (SCCHS).
